Marianne Lisson Kuhn was born and raised in the Midwest in the then small farming community of Naperville, Illinois. Though never living on a farm herself, she spent most Sundays visiting her grandparents at their local farms and grew to love the country and the beauty of nature unfolding with each passing season. That is evident in Marianne’s attention to detail in her artwork.
Marianne strives to preserve the history of farm life in her tractor and rural scenes and also documents Naperville’s past and present in pen and ink, watercolor and pastels.
Marianne is currently working on her third “Century Walk” mural in downtown Naperville. Marianne feels it very gratifying to be able to capture special memories and preserve them for future generations.
